As a small business owner, it’s important to maximize your time and the impact that your activities have on your business. So when it comes to Internet marketing, you need to make sure your business is everywhere your customers are looking for you . . . or your competition. Because technology changes just as quickly as consumers’ habits do, you can’t afford to miss new business opportunities when so many consumers are going online for just about everything.

There are many ways to market your business to achieve the results you want and to give your business more visibility online. Some tactics to consider include social media, a marketed website, mobile advertising, and Internet advertising. Each of these options is a valuable tool for reaching and interacting with potential customers as well as your current customers.

For tips on implementing those tools, how best to use them, and how to measure your success when you do, check out the following slides from a recent Web.com webinar.

3 responses to 4 Things Your Business Needs to Do Online

  1. I already have 2 businesses that sadly don’t have a website simply because I don’t know where to start not being very computer literate and all! I can use search engines just like anyone else, send emails, save and browse photos and files, but when it comes to trying to develop and launch a website, I am lost . . . not sure of what is to be paid for and what isn’t, or how long it lasts or if it is free?

I am about to launch another business which will rely heavily on a great webpage and advertising to be successful, so these 4 things to do is a great starting point for me. Thanks!

  2. I need some information on how to get a Facebook account set up so that I can advertise my services. Please email me with any info on how you can help me advertise and attract more customers. You’re the company that hosts my website, so I think it would be great for you to help out on Facebook.

  3. I especially liked the statistics. I knew there was a best time and day to post, but now I know it’s Wed., and anytime between 8pm and 7am.

Also had no idea that under 40 characters is best. That’s very short.

And 1-4x weekly seems very reasonable.

    Thanks!
